At Stansted Veterinary Specialists we aim to provide a fair and transparent pricing structure that we feel offers good value.

We recognise that the cost of veterinary care can be a barrier to treatment in some cases. We are committed to working with pet owners and their referring vets to find solutions that best fit their circumstances.

To make veterinary fees more accessible we offer a variety of payment methods.

Whilst we will always prioritise patient care, we will use our experience and knowledge to help you choose a financially suitable treatment plan.

Payment Methods

At the time of your appointment you will be given a fixed price or estimated cost range for the recommended tests and treatment.

We accept payment by Cash, Visa, Mastercard or BACS transfer. If you are paying by one of these methods then we will ask for 50% of the estimated fee as a deposit prior to starting treatment. The remaining balance is due upon collection of your pet.

We will work with your pet insurance company to cover the cost of treatment. This could be completing a claim form and providing medical records if you wish to be reimbursed by your insurance company for any fees paid to us.

In many cases we are able to arrange a direct claim from your insurance company for a small handling fee. If you wish for us to make a direct insurance claim it is important that you provide your insurance certificate and policy details before or at the time of your appointment. There are many pet insurance policies available and we do not know the specifics of your policy. Even if we agree to attempt a direct claim on your behalf, you remain liable for any fees incurred if they are not paid by your insurance company.

In some circumstances, and subject to approval, we are able to work with a third-party credit lender to arrange for the cost of payments to be spread over a longer period.
